Where to even begin? Being a part of Chelsea and Roger’s relationship documenting their love from newly dating, to their maternity photos, to photographing their beautiful baby girl has been an absolute dream come true.
This is truly what I love about photography. Making connections with my couples, so much so that I have the honour of photographing transitioning moments in their lives documenting their story through my lens.
Chels had been manifesting meeting her forever person. Her “Merideth Grey to her Derek Shepherd” if you will. Shortly after, along came Roger! I knew Rog was the one for Chels because of Desi. Desi was Chels’s first baby. Her sweet boy was glued to Roger’s side when I first met him. Chels and Rog were the first couple I ever photographed. We captured some special moments for their Christmas cards. After their formal photos, they enjoyed a glass of wine, danced to some of their favourite songs barefoot, and played crib. After that they cozied up on the bed. From cuddling to making out to even taking off a few pieces of clothing things got spicy! Just how I like it! We had such a great time together, and I was honoured when they asked me to capture their maternity photos. I was so happy to have really focused on documenting Chelsea and Desi’s love and special bond they share, as shortly after their maternity session Desi their fur baby passed away. Chels had shared with me that she will cherish those photos forever. We were able to print them and place them all over their home. Chels said she felt as though Des was with her that way. Photos are so truly so powerful aren’t they?
Shortly after, Chels and Roger’s beautiful baby girl Charlie arrived earth side. What a dream come true. Together Chels and her baby girl wore their bohemian flower crowns, we poured a milk bath and captured their love and connection together.
